Mamode Raffick Nabee Mohomed
Mamode Raffick Nabee Mohomed is the Founder and Secretary of AL BARAKAH Multi-purpose Cooperative Society Limited, Mauritius. He is an Educator and also lectures on Islamic Banking & Finance. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce, a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in Business Studies and Accounting and a Post Graduate Diploma in Islamic Banking & Insurance (IIBI, London). He has over 18 years’ experience in Cooperatives, Credit Unions and Islamic Finance. He forms part of the Editorial panel of True Banking Magazine (Pakistan). Among his many designations are: Honorary Director, Islamic Microfinance Network and Director, DEEP Foundation (Development & Economic Empowerment of People) of Pakistan. He is also currently occupying the post of Secretary of the Caretaker Board of the Mauritius Co-operative Savings and Credit League Limited (MACOSCLE), Mauritius. He also acted as panelist and speaker at various International Conferences, Forum and Seminars on Islamic Finance and Islamic Microfinance and presented the case study of AL BARAKAH MCSL as a model of Islamic Credit Union in various countries namely Trinidad & Tobago, India, Pakistan, Malaysia, South Africa, Kazakhstan, Dubai and Kazan /Russia.

Muhammad Riad Parvez Hullemuth
Muhammad Riad Parvez Hullemuth is currently an Educator of Islamic Studies and Religion at St Helena College. He pursued his secondary education in Al-Azhar Secondary School in Cairo, Egypt and holds a BA in Education, Social Service, Community Development, and Arabic from Al-Azhar University, Cairo, Egypt. He is currently an MBA Student at the University of Northampton (Mauritius Branch) and a PGD Student in Islamic Banking and Finance from AlHuda CIBE (Pakistan). He encompasses a rich professional experience in different fields namely teaching, marketing and business administration. He was previously Director of Projects at the Center for Information and Guidance in Seychelles and served as Translator and Interpreter in Arabic language for the Mauritian Ambassador in Cairo. He held several key positions during his student time in Egypt namely President of the Indian Ocean Student Committee and President of Southern Africa Student Association. He is presently the President of the Parents and Teachers Association of Doha Primary School (Mauritius) amongst his numerous other involvements in social work.
